We are still moving

So, I am 59 years old.  But I am not dead.  I am not retired.  I am not slowing down.  The Apostle Paul told his young protegee Timothy; “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.  I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing (II Timothy 4:6-8; ESV).”  Paul ran the race up til the end.  He did not retire to collect sea shells or play golf.  Moses was at least 120 years old when he died.  He did not retire; but he led the nation of Israel until he died.

I am working out what this looks like in my life… hence, On Finishing Well.  I hope that you will join me on this journey.  Blessings…
